In line with the theme of the 2017 UN Forum on Business and Human Rights “Realizing access to remedy” this side event aimed at exploring access to information and grievance mechanisms currently in place for human rights violations in the context of toxic waste.

Starting point for the discussions was the paramount importance of access to information; without which no means of remedy would even be possible.
