Leading the way: Trade for a new generation

Join us for a high-level panel discussion on the future of the WTO and the multilateral trading system

Students, academics, and policymakers will come together to discuss the future of the WTO and the multilateral trading system through the lens of the next generation. Centered around an upcoming report by the WTO Young Trade Leaders, the event will explore how global trade governance can better respond to the evolving expectations and priorities of young people in a rapidly changing global economy.

Taking place on 18 June 2026 at the WTO in Geneva, this in-person event will feature the presentation of the report, followed by a high-level panel discussion with leading trade experts, diplomats, and policymakers. It provides an exceptional platform to discuss how trade policy and multilateral cooperation can be made fit for a new generation.

The programme will begin with a light networking lunch, offering participants the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas.
