Guiding Principles on Human Rights Impact Assessments of Economic Reform Policies

Following the presentation by the Independent Expert on foreign debt and human rights of the guiding principles for human rights impact assessments for economic reform policies to the Human Rights Council, this side event further explored the need to enhance the capacity of States and other stakeholder to assess the human rights impact of economic reform policies.

The panel also explored practicalities, opportunities and challenges of human rights impact assessments in the field of economic reforms.
