Expert Workshop: Corporate Action for Climate Justice and Human Rights 06/16/2015 22:00 to 01/01/1970 00:00 - Geneva, Switzerland In the run-up to the COP 21 climate conference in Paris at the end of this year, the Business and Hphoto Side eventuman Rights Resource Centre and FES Geneva organized an expert workshop to discuss human rights risks and challenges for business created by climate change. While the main obligations are on governments, companies are in a powerful position to mitigate the disproportionate impact of climate change on the most vulnerable and help them adapt. The framework for this event was existing and future business efforts necessary to address climate change; and calls from labour and civil society for business and governments to put human rights at the heart of their climate strategies.
