FES Geneva and the Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO) believe that peacebuilding and human rights work by the UN and others can be strengthened by increasing understanding of the processes and relevance of each agency and community’s work and by providing space for dialogue between them.

This consultation was held to explore the practical ways of fostering this and to feed these ideas into May’s High Level Thematic Debate.  In addition to contributing to shaping the high level thematic debate on peace and security this consultation was an initial step in thinking about how human rights can be included from the beginning in this agenda item for the GA and the associated activity.
