We invite you to join a bilingual online discussion about the lessons learned at the first  International Migration Review Forum (IMRF). Looking especially at lessons about meaningful civil society participation in this process and how we can build on those as the second review process gets underway.

Starting with a brief introduction of the report »Towards more Ambitious Goals: Reflections on the First International Migration Review Forum« produced by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Geneva Office and available in Spanish and English, we are looking forward to a participatory and interactive exchange.

Some questions to guide the start of our conversation are

• What (if anything) do you think the IMRF achieved in relation to your advocacy objectives?
• How could the second IMRF be more useful for your objectives?
• What would support effective civil society engagement in the IMRF process?

Le invitamos a participar en un debate bilingüe en línea sobre las lecciones aprendidas en el primer Foro Internacional de Revisión de la Migración (FIRM). Nos centraremos especialmente en las lecciones aprendidas sobre la participación significativa de la sociedad civil en este proceso y en cómo podemos aprovecharlas a medida que se pone en marcha el segundo proceso de revisión.

Comenzando con una breve introducción del informe «Hacia objetivos más ambiciosos: Reflexiones sobre el Primer Foro Internacional de Revisión de la Migración», elaborado por la Oficina de Ginebra de la Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) y disponible en español e inglés, esperamos un intercambio participativo e interactivo.

Algunas preguntas para guiar el inicio de nuestra conversación son

•  ¿Qué cree que ha conseguido el FIRM (si es que ha conseguido algo) en relación con sus objetivos de promoción?
• ¿Cómo podría el segundo FIRM ser más útil para sus objetivos?
• ¿Qué apoyaría una participación eficaz de la sociedad civil en el proceso del FIRM?
