Update on the process to elaborate a legally binding instrument on business and human rights

A Side Event at the 14th Annual Forum on Business and Human Rights.

This event will provide a briefing on the outcomes of the 11th session of the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group (OEIGWG), including the completion of the first reading of the updated draft for a legally binding instrument on business and human rights (articles 12-24) and the 2026 roadmap. The briefing is organized by the Permanent Mission of Ecuador to the UN Office (in its capacity as Chairmanship of the OEIGWG) with the co-sponsorship of the South Centre and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
