This expert seminar, jointly organized by FES Geneva, the German Institute for Human Rights, Forum Menschenrechte and the Geneva Academy examined the role of the Human Rights Council in bridging international human rights and humanitarian law.

Issues discussed included the question of what kind of instruments already exist within the framework of the HRC that could be developed in order to include armed groups as well as an analysis of common issues and conflicting areas between the Human Rights Council and Security Council.
